SCIENCE AND ART COLLIDE WITH A NEW RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN THE GROUND BREAKING FIELD OF MUSIC + GENETICS in RUSSIA
I am delighted to announce that I am the recipient of a Creative Victoria Grant to support my forthcoming Research Fellowship and Artist in Residency at the Moscow Conservatory of Music in Russia.
In partnership with the Russian Academy of Science, I will spend one month at the Moscow Conservatory researching and preparing new musical works for presentation at the Symmetry Festival in Vienna, on 19 and 20 July.
This ground breaking field of research seeks to redefine our interpretations of musical theory and musical appreciation. Further, the project also explores the capacity of music to create human healing through analysis of medical applications of genetic music as a form of therapy. Science and Art collide in what will be an incredible ongoing collaboration for me with these brilliant Russian thinkers and creators.
This project was supported, in part, by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
