MOSCOW STATE CONSERVATORY FELLOWSHIP (ongoing)

MOSCOW STATE CONSERVATORY FELLOWSHIP: MUSIC, GENETICS AND THE FUTURE OF HUMAN HEALING

In July 2016, I embarked on a solo mission to Russia, to join a world class team at the Moscow State Conservatory and Russian Academy of Sciences, working in the ground breaking field of music and genetics.

A new “Centre for Interdisciplinary Researches of Musical Creativity” was established in 2012 at the Moscow Conservatory, where local musicians and composers actively participate in research and development activities. I have most recently joined the all Russian team, as a composer, musician and now Foreign Representative to the Genetic Music School. One of the main tasks of our Centre is to study genetic musical scales from different viewpoints. This includes creating new opportunities for composers to learn about this alternative musical language system and new musical inventions (instrumental and app-based), as well as ongoing analysis of genetic music for musical therapy and concomitant medical applications in the field of art therapy and healing.

I am the first Australian to be formally employed by the Moscow Conservatory, and it is a great honour and privilege to be among the worlds top musicians, researchers, thinkers and inventors. As International Ambassador to the Genetic Music School, we are seeking partners and sponsors to support our project and the dissemination of this knowledge.
